Remote Collaboration 2008
The third ARiSE Summer School took place on two partner locations. Students located in Siauliai, Lithuania and Sankt Augustin, Germany collaborated in pairs using the capabilities of the ARTP. In a shared session they introduced, discussed and annotated 3D objects prepared by themselves in advance. For preparation of the content they could use two separate tools implemented by our consortium: With the tool Filipek they could create simple 3D objects out of photographs on a conventional PC workstation. Whereas the Myslbek tool could be used for sketching and sculpting directly in 3D using a simple light pen and the Spinnstube. During a session this content could be loaded, discussed and modified by both collaborators.
