SUMMER SCHOOLS
The project consortium organizes 3 different Summer Schools in one of our member countries (one in 2006, 2007 and 2008) where several teachers and students are invited to participate and help out in testing and enjoying the new ARiSE tools and the AR teaching platform. Therefore the Summer Schools will involve a group of teachers and students that come together and use/play with the Spinnstube, tools and content in order to help the consortium members have a living laboratory and first hand experience of how different children and their teachers interact and work together for an extended period of time.
A variety of evaluation methods are used to gather feedback on the didactical and pedagogical vision as well as the usability of the developed learning platform is carried out during this time. Detailed studies are applied to show how education concepts would benefit from the impact of Augmented Reality technology. The outcomes of the usability studies flow back into the permanent development and improvement process of the AR teaching platform.
The Summer Schools took / will take place in:
- Hamrun, Malta (November 2006)
- Bucharest, Romania (October 2007)
- Distributed over Europe (October 2008)
